At night, a dark figure is running through the streets. Somewhere, an alarm is sounding, and we see many broken jewelry cases. Jewelry falls to the ground as a caped figure runs, only to be blocked by a masked girl.

The jewel thief and the masked girl start to fight, both apparently skilled. Jewelry falls from the thiefs hands, and the thief makes his exit, with the masked girl in pursuit.

In a girl's bedroom, music is playing. A young boy at the moving covers on a bed.
"Usagi! Hurry up! You're going to be late for school."

The girl underneath the covers makes a noncommital answer. The boy sighs and puts her alarm clock underneath the sheets. The girl shrieks, "No way! Why is it so late?!"
"Shingo!" cries Usagi. Usagi rushes around to get ready and trips.
Shingo replies, "Stupid Usagi."

Usagi comes running into the kitchen, in a hurry, and says "Mama, I need my lunch!"

Ikuko-mama hurries to prepare Usagi's lunch. Usagi asks where Papa is, and Ikuko-mama replies he had to go into work. Then, there's a newscast on the jewelry robbery from the previous night. Usagi and her mother stop to watch the broadcast, when Shingo, ready for schools says, "You know, you're late." Usagi freaks out and goes running out.

Usagi is running to school. Going over the bridge, a stuffed cat falls on Usagi's head.
"AH!! What's this?!" cries Usagi as she struggles to see. Finally, calmed down, Usagi looks around for any sign of what happened. Usagi looks down at the cat.
"Strange... a crescent moon.." (the moon shines, unbeknownst to Usagi)

Usagi realizes the time and cries out. She put the stuffed cat down and rushes away. As she's running, the cat comes to life and says, "I knew it, there's no doubt. I've found her!"

Usagi is in class and Haruna-sensei is scolding Usagi for being late. Haruna-sensei asks why Usagi can't be more like Ami-chan (the girl genius). Usagi apologizes.

Usagi is doing cleaning duty after class. While she's complaining a girl comes into the classroom.
"Ah! Naru-chan, why are you here?" asks Usagi.
Naru-chan hold up a cleaning cloth and says, "I couldn't just leave you!"
"Naru-chan, you're the best!"
Naru says to hurry so that they can go karaoke. The crown center has just gotten a lot of Aino Minako's albums in. Usagi agrees and says, "let's go!"

At the crown center, Usagi is singing karaoke. After eating various foods, and having fun, Naru-chan suggest they go to her mother's jewelry show rehearsal. Usagi says, "Sounds fun! Let's go!"

At Maysumi Osaka jewelry, girls are rehearsing for the show. Usagi and Naru show up and greet Naru's mother.
"What do you thing, girls?" asks her mother.
"It's exciting!" says Naru.
"It's amazing! Like a party!" replies Usagi.
Naru runs over to Usagi, "No way, look at that girl's waist!"
Usagi replies, "So cool..."

The stuffed cat is watching the girls from a distance. Suddenly, it's crescent moon glows red.

After rehearsal, Usagi stops to look at the costumes for the show. She grabs one and looks at herself in the mirror with it. Finally, deciding she's not model material, she goes to put the dress back, but bumps into a handsome stranger (Mamoru).

"Excuse me!" cries Usagi.
The man looks at Usagi and then walk away.
"What's with him?" Usagi wonders.
Then a production assistant passes by and says something that gets both of their attention.
Usagi says, "It's not what it seems!"
The man says doubtfully, "You don't seem like a model..."
"What are you saying?" she says indignantly as he 'looks' her up and down.
The man smirks and turns away.
"What a horrible attitude." thinks Usagi. Usagi hurries toward him, pushes against him rudely, and walks away.

As Usagi is walking away, the man noticed some jewelry and wonders if the gunzuishu is in with it.

Luna is walking around and says. "There's something here.." Watery hands (three of them) pour down from the ceiling, unapparent to anyone.

At night, Naru's mother is apologizing to Naru over the phone, saying she won't be home and to have a good night. After she says goodbye, Naru's mother is attacked by the three hands.

Back in Usagi's room, Usagi is going to bed when she noticed the stuffed cat next to her pillow.

"The cat from this morning... why?" asks Usagi as she ponders about the cat.
"Usagi-chan!"
"Eh?" says Usagi, looking around.
The cat comes to life and Usagi freaks.
"Usagi-chan!"
Usagi screams and tries to run out of the room, but the cat blocks her.
"My name is Luna. I've been searching for you."
Ikuko-mama calls up and asks Usagi if anything is wrong.
"Please listen to what I have to say!" begs Luna.
Usagi replies that nothing is wrong. Usagi sits down in front of her table, which Luna jumps up on, frightening Usagi.
"Usagi-chan. There;s evil trying to take over the Earth. The only ones who cant fight this evil are the Princess and her senshi. You are one of those senshi."
"Eh? Senshi?" Usagi says, scratching her head.
"I know! This is a dream! This isn't happening!" Usagi gets up and jumps into bed.
"J-j-just a minute! Please! Fight with me!"
Usagi looks at the cat. "Yep! This is a dream!"
"I can't believe someone like you is a senshi, but my crescent moon tells me you're the one." says Luna.

Luna goes to the window, leaves a pink cellphone and tells Usagi to contact her when she believes her. She also tells Usagi to stay away from the jewelry show, and then leaves.

Next day, Naru's mother is acting strangely, and Naru doesn't know what's going on. Usagi wakes up in her bed and has a bad feeling about Naru. Naru's mother advances on Naru. She runs into the production assistant, who changes into Jadeite. Jadeite makes Naru fall unconcious and then tells her mother to steal the people's energy at the end of the show. The three watery hands envelope Naru's mother.

Outside, Lina says, "Oh no! Trouble!"
Out of nowhere, a pink bag falls on Luna's head. "Ouch!" cries Luna. She looks up, and sees Usagi, who is tring to climb into the building. Usagi falls and lands on Luna (>.<)

Luna asks Usagi why she came, and Usagi says she had a feeling Naru was in trouble, and that they needed to hurry and save her. Luna says they should fight together, and gives Usagi a tibe of lipstick and a brooch.

Usagi and Luna are watching the models prepare, and Luna tells her to take a picture with the phone. She does, and she transforms into what the model was wearing. They are then able to enter the building.

At the end of the jewelry show, Mayumi Osaka comes out to the crowd and puts everyone to sleep with some kind of purple mist.

"Stop right there!" says Usagi.

Mayumi asks why she's still alive. Usagi doesn't know, so she asks Luna.
"It's because you're a senshi!"

Suddenly the three hands come after her. Luna says it's a youma and Usagi replies, "No Way!"

They run out of the building and Luna tells Usagi to transform.

"Moon Prism Power!"
"I am the sailor-suited soldier of love and justice, Sailor Moon. In the name of the moon, I'll punish you!"

The hands start ataacking Sailor Moon, and Sailor Moon is scares. Luna says it'll be ok, because she was destined for this. Suddenly, Sailor Moon is fighting and dodging the hands very well. Her moonstick appears and she yells, "Moon Healing Escalation!"

Naru's mother returns to normal and falls to the ground. Usagi is escited and says, "I did it!"
Usagi runs over to Luna. Jadeite appears out of nowhere and throws a glass shard at Sailor Moon. Luna yells to look out, and as Sailor Moon turns, a masked man pushes her out of the way.

Jadeite disappears. Sailor Moon and the masked man look at each other and he helps her up. He then says, "I didn't find what I was looking for, but I found something interesting anyway."
He walks away and Sailor Moon runs toward him.
"Thank you for saving me!" Sailor Moon says, "Um... who are you?"
"Tuxedo Kamen." he says, and leaves.
"Tuxedo Kamen... He's strange... but somehow... cool..."

In the jewelry building, Naru-chan wakes up and wonders if she was having a dream.

In the Dark Kingdom, Queen Beryl is unhappy. "Who is it that stands in my way? I won't forgive it!"

Sailor Moon is looking out at the water.
"I'm Sailor Moon..."
"The battle has begun.." says Luna, "You are one of the senshi that protects the princess."

"I don't know if I'm scared or excited, this feeling. But my heart is beating fast..." Says Sailor Moon.
